Reaching Trento

By train: Trento is on the Verona-Brennero-Monaco axis. All trains to and from Verona and Bolzano stop in Trento. There is a direct link with Venice-Mestre; Valsugana-Bassano; Grappa-Castelfranco Veneto.

By car: A22 Brennero motorway. Take the exit at Trento Sud (approx. 90 km from North Verona) or Trento Nord (58 km from Bolzano); taking SS no. 12 at Abetone-Brennero, along the Valle dell’Adige. Coming from Padua, Bassano, Belluno, take the SS no. 47 at Valsugana (super-highway), while for those arriving from the Lombard zone of Lago di Garda, take the SS no. 45bis at Gardesana occidentale.

By air: the nearest airports are in Bolzano (60 km), Verona (97 km), Treviso (140 km), Brescia-Montichiari (160 km), Venice (173 km), Milan Linate (223 km), Milan Malpensa (250 km), Bergamo Orio al Serio (180 km), Bologna (220 km), and Innsbruck (177 km).


Getting Around Trento

All the Festival venues can be reached easily on foot.
The Festival provides bicycles free of charge at the Bicigrill in Piazza Fiera.  
The historic centre is a traffic-restricted area (ZTL) where circulation of vehicles is prohibited at certain times. In the town paid parking spaces are indicated in blue (between 8.00-19.30 on weekdays, Saturdays included).
For those who reach Trento without a car, the ‘Click & Drive’ Car Sharing service is available. Car Sharing Trentino offers Festival guests who have arrived using public transport the possibility of using one of their fleet of available cars, at an hourly all-inclusive rate. To access the service, it is sufficient to be a guest in one of the Festival’s official accommodation facilities, or contact the Ecosportello Information Point in Piazza Cesare Battisti.

Coaches:
Parking: Via Petrarca, Lungadige San Nicolò, Via Monte Baldo.
Pick up/drop off only: in Lungadige Monte Grappa and Via Bernardo Clesio, in the ex Zuffo piazzale, near the Shuttle Bus stop, paid parking.

Camper vans:
Piazzale area ex Zuffo – near the Trento Centro tollgate (exit closed inbound from motorway): 19 places, parking and camper service, paid parking.
Via Solteri: 10 places.
Piazzale Sanseverino: 5 places.
Piazzale Monte Baldo: access for camper vans (for information, contact the Municipal Public Relations Office).
Villazzano: in the new car park (for information, contact the Municipal Public Relations Office).

Free Parking

The ex Zuffo parking area near the Trento Centro tollgate (exit closed inbound from motorway); Monte Baldo parking area at the junction between Monte Baldo and Via Sanseverino; Ghiaie c/o PalaTrento parking area on Via Fersina; Piazzale Sanseverino; ex Sit area in Via Canestrini; parking near Piedicastello (Galleries).

Ex Zuffo – Monte Baldo – Ghiaie (c/o PalaTrento) are linked to the city by the following buses: the ex Zuffo parking area by the Parking Shuttle Bus and by Bus 2 every 10 minutes mornings and evenings and every 15 minutes at all other times; Monte Baldo by the Parking Shuttle Bus, as often as every 10 minutes during rush hour. The parking area PalaTrento by Bus A and the Parking Shuttle Bus every 15 minutes.

Local Transport

The buses A, 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 11, 12, 13, 15, 17, NP (Parking shuttle bus) can accommodate disabled persons. However, not all the bus stops en route are accessible. The Disabled Helpdesk managed by the HandiCREA Cooperative on Via S. Open from 7.00 to 22.30, running every 15 minutes in the morning from 7.00 to 9.00 and late afternoon from 17.00 to 20.30; every half hour at all other times.
